UCLA thanks season ticket holders with free passes

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) has offered season ticket holders four additional free tickets for this weekend’s home game against Oklahoma Sooners after last weekend’s poor attendance figures.

In an email to every season ticket holder that attended its 23-14 home-opening loss against San Diego State, UCLA thanked fans for “supporting the more than 100 student-athletes.”

The total value of the tickets for Saturday’s UCLA game is $280. The seats for the complimentary tickets would not be located immediately next to the season ticket holder’s seat, but they would be able to forward them on to any family member, friend or colleague.

The email reads: “Dear Bruin Family, thank you for supporting the more than 100 student-athletes who compete for UCLA Football by attending Saturday’s home opener at the Rose Bowl.

“While the result was not what we hoped it would be, we want to acknowledge you for making it to the game and supporting the Bruins on such a hot day.

“To show our appreciation for your loyalty and commitment to UCLA Football, we would like to offer you four additional complimentary tickets to this Saturday’s home game against the No. 5 ranked Oklahoma Sooners.

“This is a small token of appreciation from our department for your continued support as we continue to work every day to build a successful football program.”
