FKP Scorpio, the pan-European concert promoter, has opened a new office in Warsaw, Poland.
Filip Potocki, who has been managing director of Austrian promoter Arcadia Live since 2015, is the head of the new office.
Potocki said: “We plan to develop the company with a long-term view and in a sustainable way. For us it is important to get detailed knowledge of the conditions of the Polish market and to supplement the varied cultural and concert landscape of the country with our offer.
“Personally, I am very much looking forward to this challenge in the country where I was born.”
FKP Scorpio is now one of the largest companies in the live music business in Europe, with offices in Norway, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, UK and Germany, headquartered in Hamburg. The Poland office will become the ninth location of FKP.
FKP chief executive Folkert Koopmans added: “I’ve been following the development of the Polish live music market for a long time and see great potential there. We had first experiences in 2018 with the Ed Sheeran concert in the fantastic atmosphere of the PGE Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.”
