BookMyShow brings U2’s Joshua Tree Tour to India

BookMyShow is bringing U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour to Mumbai in India for the band’s first ever performance in the country.

The show will be the final stop on the band’s record-breaking tour on December 15. The gig will take place at the 55,000-capacity football and cricket DY Patil Stadium.

The concert in Mumbai is produced by Live Nation Global Touring and brought to India by BookMyShow, with tickets available through both platforms.

The newly added date comes at the end of an Asia-Pacific tour that was announced months ago. The tour, which began in May 2017 and originally ended in October 2017, played to 2.7 million fans across 51 shows in North America, Europe and Latin America. The extension of the tour will begin on November 9 and end in India on December 15.

U2 band member Adam Clayton said: “We’re much looking forward to bringing a dash of Dublin to Mumbai, India. A country famous for its rich culture of art, music, movies, theatre, literature, food and so much more. There is a lot of excitement in the U2 camp.”

Tickets for reserved seats in Mumbai range from INR 3,000 (£34/€38/$42) to INR 14,000 with general admission tickets starting at 6,000 INR.

The tour will also bring the band to Singapore, Seoul, Manila and Mumbai for the first time ever.
