Live Nation-Gaiety and SJM Concerts have acquired Rewind Festival, the three 80s themed events in Oxfordshire, Cheshire and Perthshire, IQ reports.
The UK festival, which first launched in 2009, was previously owned by Impresario Festivals and was acquired by Global in October 2016.
Artists signed up to play Rewind 2019 included Thin Lizzy (Rewind North), UB40 (North and South), Bryan Ferry (Scotland), Bananarama (North), Michael Bolton (South) and Foreigner (Scotland).
This year’s events took place at the Scone Palace grounds near Perth, Scotland on July 19-21, as well as at the Temple Island Meadows, Remenham Farm, which currently has a capacity of 20,000 people per day, from August 16-18. The event scheduled to take place at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire from August 2-4 was cancelled the day before due to poor weather conditions and flooding.
Since 2012, the festival has expanded internationally to three venues in South Africa (including Cape Town and Johannesburg in 2012, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban in 2015), one in United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and one in Thailand (Bangkok).
