Cleveland Cavs introduces unlimited monthly subscription ticket

The Cleveland Cavaliers NBA basketball franchise has introduced an unlimited monthly subscription-based ticketing plan, with no long-term commitment needed.

The Cavs Monthly Pass guarantees a ticket to as many games at the 20,562-capacity Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in a given month, as long as seats are reserved at least 24 hours before tip-off.

The pass does not come with the same benefits as a season ticket, such as free parking, discounts on concessions, lounge access, special events and other extras.

“The idea behind it was to get creative and provide fans another multi-game option to get in the doors for each Cavs home game this season and to see the new Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and everything it has to offer,” said Eric Clouse, Cleveland Cavaliers senior vice-president of sales and service.

The Cavs Monthly Pass costs $89-a-month for a seat in the lower bowl or $49-a-month for a seat in Loudville in the upper bowl.

Therefore, with 12 games (10 regular season) in the first full month of the season, fans could attend every match for as low as $4.08 per game.

The plan renews automatically unless users cancel at least five days prior to the start of the next month. The team said there is a limited number of lower level passes left, but availability remains for the Loudville sections and passes purchased together get seats next to each other.

Clouse added: “Your seat location will vary from game to game, the tickets are non-transferable and cannot be shared or resold, but there is a core demographic this appeals to and we’ve seen great success so far.”
