More than 24,000 tix for 2019 Club World Cup sold in 24 hours

The FIFA Club World Cup 2019 in Qatar has shifted more than 24,000 tickets in the first 24 hours of the Visa Presale phase, which kicked off on Tuesday.

Fans from Qatar and the UK booked their seats in the biggest numbers, respectively accounting for 60 per cent and 16 per cent of the 24,211 tickets allocated.

The most popular match was unsurprisingly the final, taking place on December 21, to which all 10,085 tickets made available in this sales phase have been snapped up.

In addition, all Visa Presale ticket inventory for the semi-final between Premier League club Liverpool and the winners of Match 2 has now been allocated.

Visa cardholders still have until October 31 to secure their tickets for the other three matchdays, which involve hosts Al Sadd SC, Oceania champions Hienghène Sport, Africa’s ES Tunis and North/Central America’s CF Monterrey.

Tickets are priced in three categories, starting at QAR 25 for Category 3 tickets up to QAR 400 for a Category 1 ticket for the third place and final matches.

Fans purchasing a single ticket for double-header matchdays will be able to attend both games at the stadium.

The last-minute sales phase will begin in November and will run until the end of the tournament. During that period, tickets will also be available for purchase on the FIFA website.
