Last minute ticket sales for the FIFA Club World Cup 2019 in Qatar kicked off yesterday (Thursday), with additional inventory made available for all matches, including the final.
The sales phase gives fans a second chance to purchase tickets for the final, the semi-final featuring Liverpool, and the double-header on December 14, which were all in high demand during the Visa Presale phase.
The initial phase, which ended earlier this month, shifted a total of 27,896 tickets, with Qatari and UK fans snapping up the majority of tickets.
Tickets are priced in three categories, starting at QAR 25 (£5.50/€6.15/$6.87) for Category 3 tickets up to QAR 400 for a Category 1 ticket for the third-place play off and final.
Online sales will continue on a first-come, first-served basis until the end of the tournament. A traffic light system on the Ticketing Portal will give an indication of ticket availability at any particular point in time. As additional tickets may be released on an ongoing basis, fans have been advised to monitor the system regularly.
The tournament will feature seven teams, with two of the spots yet to be determined as they will be taken up by the winners of the Copa Libertadores and AFC Champions League later this month.
Qatar will stage the FIFA World Cup in just over three years’ time.
