Dubai’s Global Village attraction appoints ticketing firm VGS

Global Village in Dubai has appointed ticketing software and services firm VGS to manage its sales and distribution of tickets.

The attraction is a multicultural festival park, which has shopping, eating and entertainment, showcasing pavilions and cultures. It is expecting to welcome more than seven million visitors this year over its 159-day running period.

VGS’ software product ‘SnApp’ is capable of comprehensively managing the entire sales and distribution lifecycle across multiple sites, with plans already in place to implement new SnApp technologies for future seasons.

Bader Anwahi, chief executive at Global Village, said: “Global Village is a truly unique and world-leading entertainment concept, offering guests the opportunity to experience the culture and diversity of more than 78 countries in a single location. Due to the immense scale of our operations, and the various sub systems involved, we are often presented with distinct business challenges.

“These challenges have led us to search for a flexible ticketing solution that is not only dynamic and scalable but also able to effectively integrate into our existing ecosystem. We have found such a product with SnApp and we are confident our cooperation with the VGS team will help raise the benchmark for enriched festival park guest experiences across the industry.”

VGS implements ticketing solutions for top attractions around the globe, with offices in Italy, Singapore, the UAE and the USA, to manage commercial and operational management. This includes operations, marketing, sales, and technology.

Paolo Moro, VGS president and chief executive, added: “Our progressive approach and the experience of our international team has really allowed us to excel in the leisure and entertainment space and to deliver the much needed ‘smart’ technologies being sought by the market today.

“Our partnership with Global Village represents our shared vision of creating memorable guest experiences and we are very excited to be a part of this journey.”
