TEG is looking to enhance its customers’ experience of attending shows and sports fixtures after teaming up with event travel specialist Stay22.
Stay22’s location-based interactive map aims to simplify travel booking for events by displaying accommodations at the lowest available price, and features both Airbnb and hotel options.
Canada-headquartered Stay22 said the deal will position it as the leading travel solution for the live entertainment industry in Asia-Pacific.
“With over 20 million tickets annually for both local and international events, it was clear that we saw an opportunity in partnering up with TEG,” said Frederic Aouad, sales director of Stay22.
“Stay22 is a natural extension to their service offer: it will allow them to enhance users’ experience by properly addressing a need of event-goers: travel.”
Since its creation in 2016, Stay22 has partnered up with over 1,000 event organisers and ticketing platforms. Secutix and Ticketsource are just two of the operators to partner with Stay22 in 2019.
“TEG is thrilled to be partnering with Stay22,” said Chris Johnston, TEG’s general manager.
“Being Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment, ticketing platform and technology, we are very happy to include the Stay22 maps into our ticketing technology. We hope this new endeavour will please our current customers, especially the ones in need of accommodations and travel services near events.”
Earlier this year Stay22 announced it has generated $250,000 (€223,400/£193,000) in commission for its partners, delivering on its promise to create revenue for platforms featuring the company’s map.
