TRNSMT festival offers tickets through interactive treasure hunt

Glasgow-based festival TRNSMT is releasing its 2020 line-up and offering the chance to win tickets via an interactive ‘treasure hunt’.

TRNSMT Marks The Spot will present fans with clues about its scheduled acts for the festival, due to take place from July 10-12, with participants in with a chance of getting free tickets for a correct answer.

People engaging in the treasure hunt will be given clues on different locations and venues, with the answers revealing headliners for the 2020 festival.

Fans will be required to log on to TRNSMT festival’s website today (Tuesday) at 4pm for the announcement. They will then be able to discover headliners by following clues on Google Maps, leading them to interactive badges and artist names.

TRNSMT said in an announcement: “Once you’ve found the correct location, you’ll see our TRNSMT MARKS THE SPOT logo – click this and reveal one of our 2020 artists.

“If you’re wrong, you won’t see anything, so try again but best be quick though, as you’ve only got 5 minutes per round! For a chance to win tickets, simply click share to Twitter or Facebook and you might just win a pair of weekend tickets.”

In addition, organisers unveiled plans to hold a special Black Friday sale on tickets, which will give those who have signed up to the TRNSMT database a discount on three-day tickets to the festival for one week, before another tier of tickets are released in early December.

TRNSMT, held at Glasgow Green, this year welcomed 120,000 punters with headliners including Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Lewis Capaldi and George Ezra.
