Club ticket programme launched for women’s T20 World Cup

The ICC T20 World Cup 2020 has launched its Community Club Ticketing Programme to drive support for women’s sport across Australia.

The initiative is designed to encourage clubs to show their support for women in sport, as clubs will receive a rebate on tickets purchased to the event.

Each ticket purchased through a participating club will earn a rebate of A$5 for every adult ticket and A$1 for a child ticket. There is no cap on the number of tickets each club can sell.

All matches for the women’s event are priced from A$20 for adults and A$5 for children, including the opening match on February 21 between Australia and India at Sydney Showground Stadium and the final at the MCG on March 8.

ICC T20 World Cup Local Organising Committee chief executive Nick Hockley said: “We passionately believe in the power of major sporting events to deliver positive, lasting impacts in the community.”

Clubs can register for the programme online with a unique URL and promotional materials to be provided by the Local Organising Committee upon successful registration.
