Appointments round-up: Ticketmaster Germany, DEAG and more

Ticketmaster Germany has appointed Sebastian Kahlich as director of music and entertainment. He joins the company from Starwatch Entertainment, where he held the role of director of brand.

In his new role, Kahlich is tasked with managing Ticketmaster’s sales team while developing new business for the company in Germany.

Klaus Zemke, managing director of Ticketmaster Germany, said: “Sebastian has remarkable industry knowledge and brings with him an unprecedented level of expertise in his field. We look forward to him joining us and helping us to further expand our brand in Germany and around the world.”

Former Google executive Jarkko Heinonen has been named as chief commercial officer at event promotion and ticketing firm Lippupiste Oy. In his new role, he will be responsible for B2B sales, e-commerce, digital agency, big data and comms teams.

Elsewhere, Stephanie Meyers has been named as show coordinator for Nashville-based promoter Outback Presents. Meyers previously worked at Goldenvoice as a ticketing manager for several Los Angeles clubs and theatres.

Lancashire Cricket Club has appointed Steve Davies (pictured) as its new operations director as part of ongoing efforts to improve the experience of visitors to its Emirates Old Trafford ground.

Davies joins from Merlin Entertainments where he has spent over 14 years working at popular visitor attractions in several senior roles including conference and banqueting manager and then head of operations at Alton Towers theme park.

Tobias Buck has been named as a new member of the Supervisory Board by proposal of the Executive Board of MyTicket owner Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG). The move comes after Katja Nettesheim resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board for personal reasons.

The court appointment lasts until DEAG’s next Annual General Meeting in June 2020.

Wasps Rugby has named Adam Benson as chief commercial officer to help drive the growth of the club. Benson had previously spent six years as Commercial Director at Reading Football Club in the Premier League and Championship, where he had overall responsibility for devising and implementing the commercial and business development strategy for the club, as well as the management of ticketing, retail, hospitality, partnerships and marketing.

At Wasps he will oversee commercial strategy and direct work in partnerships and advertising, hospitality, retail, ticketing, CRM, digital, community and Wasps Netball, as well as identifying new opportunities across the business.

Queue-it, the leading developer of virtual waiting room technology, has appointed Tatiana Troščáková as Customer Success Manager.

Elsewhere, Leicester City football club has named Alistair Spiers as its head of sales, where he will be heading up the ticketing and hospitality departments and driving the commercial strategy for stadium development.
