Patron Technology solidifies footprint in conventions with GrowTix

Live event technology firm Patron Technology has acquired Salt Lake City-based ticketing and registration company GrowTix.

Patron’s platform, which includes ticketing, event operations, experiential marketing, cashless payments, and mobile app solutions, supports numerous events within the convention and fandom space, like New York Comic Con, Los Angeles Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, and Anime NYC, among others. GrowTix also has a large clientele in the same industry.

“Patron Technology has been a global presence in the convention industry for years, and we are thrilled to welcome GrowTix into the fold,” said Marc Jenkins, Patron Technology chief executive.

“With the addition of their tools and experience, we’re excited to offer even more ways to strengthen the fan experience, enhance ticket sales, and streamline operations for convention and fandom event organisers around the world.”

In addition to event ticketing, GrowTix provides tools that enable convention organisers to manage event scheduling, guest itineraries, exhibitor booth planning, and more.

LeGrande Jolley, VP of Product & Co-founder of GrowTix, added: “By adding the GrowTix solution to the existing Patron Technology product offering, we look forward to strengthening our client relationships by providing an even more diverse set of tools that will allow them to refine their business and elevate their attendee experience.”

Johnny Sloan, president and co-founder of GrowTix, said: “GrowTix and the suite of products offered by Patron Technology are a perfect combination of tools for the industry.

“Since we first started discussions with Patron Technology, we identified that we had the exact same vision for our companies and how they serve the industry; with the resources and breadth of knowledge they bring to the table, we see an amazing future for event technology!”
