Pac-12 signs multi-year resale deal with TicketSmarter

The Pac-12 has named TicketSmarter as its secondary ticket retailer for the US college conference and several events it hosts.

Under the multi-year agreement, the resale firm will also become an official partner of the football championship game, women’s basketball tournament and gymnastics championships.

The Pac-12 is dubbed the ‘Conference of Champions,’ after leading the nation in NCAA Championships in 53 of the last 59 years, with 529 NCAA team titles overall. The Conference comprises 12 leading universities, including the University of Arizona, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Colorado, and the University of Oregon, among others.

“We are excited to welcome TicketSmarter as a partner of the Pac-12 and are thrilled to work with the team as a secondary retailer for tickets to support many of our most important Pac-12-hosted championship events,” said Steve Tseng, executive vice president of sales for Pac-12 Networks.

The ticketing company will also serve as a secondary retailer for championship events for Pac-12 Olympic sports with men’s and women’s cross country, women’s swimming and men’s and women’s diving, wrestling, and men’s and women’s track and field, among others.

TicketSmarter chief executive Jeff Goodman added: “We are honoured to enter into a relationship with the Pac-12 and look forward to working with the Pac-12 closely over the next several years.

“The partnership with the Pac-12 is a continuation of our efforts to develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with collegiate conferences, teams and bowl games.”

For the Pac-12 championship events that TicketSmarter will serve as a secondary ticket retailer for, the company will also receive event signage, marketing and on-site activation rights as well as other ticket and hospitality benefits. In addition, TicketSmarter will also receive linear and digital advertising across Pac-12 Networks platforms.
