Virginia Tech teams up with Learfield IMG College

The Virginia Tech athletics department has signed a partnership deal with Learfield IMG College Ticket Solutions.

The multi-year agreement will provide the NCAA Division I US college with ticket sales, service, and data analytics strategy.

“We are thrilled to integrate the Learfield IMG College Ticket Solutions team into our overall operation to provide continuous improvement to the level of service we provide to our fans,” said Brad Wurthman, senior associate director of athletics for external operations at Virginia Tech.

“After thorough review, we identified an area of need in our operation and identified an industry-leading partner who is fully committed to growing this program alongside our team. This partnership gives us a chance to continue to form deep connections with many of our fans while we work to build the future of our fan development program together.”

Ticket Solutions will be investing in business intelligence tools and resources to aid an on-site data analyst in making data-driven decisions with the university.

Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium has a capacity of 66,233 and hosts its American football team, which has the the longest bowl game streak in the country with 25 appearances.

Jake Bye, Learfield IMG College Ticket & Seat Solutions executive vice-president, added: “We’re excited to establish a world-class sales and service team in Blacksburg and begin connecting even more deeply with Hokie fans across the nation. It’s a privilege for us to work with a storied university like Virginia Tech, and we’re committed to making this an impactful partnership.”

Football season tickets start at $350 per seat, and the priority deadline to purchase and donate is March 31.
