Sacramento Kings brings special offers to members through new mobile pass

The NBA’s Sacramento Kings has launched a new digital wallet and mobile in-app experience pass designed to boost engagement with season ticket holders at games.

Royalty Pass, which works with Apple and Google Wallets as well as the Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center app, has been created to make it easier for season ticket members to take advantage of in-game membership benefits such as discounts for food and beverage, ticket upgrades and special offers throughout the season.

Royalty Pass, powered by LAVA, enables season ticket members to unlock discounts and special promotions with each food and non-alcoholic purchase made at the 17,700-capacity Golden 1 Center.

The Kings claims to be the first NBA team to offer a membership pass with the ability to deliver real-time personalised benefits to fans.


“Royalty Pass is an exciting new program that enables fans to interact with the team and arena through discounts and various upgrades available at their fingertips,” said John Rinehart, Sacramento Kings’ president of business operations.

“We look forward to furthering our endeavours to enhance the fan experience while rewarding our season ticket members for their continued loyalty.”

Royalty Pass has been launched with a special offer that sees season ticket members offered a 35 per cent discount on items at Local Eats stands throughout the arena for all remaining home games.

LAVA is a next generation software platform that turns real time enterprise data into instant business action using Realtime AI.

The Kings’ new in-app experience pass launches just weeks after the forward-thinking team announced plans for an Internet of Things-powered smart pouring solution at Golden 1 Center.
