Dayton performing arts association launches new ticketing platform

The Victoria Theatre Association, the largest performing arts organisation in Dayton, Ohio, has integrated with TicketCenterStage to launch a new ticketing website.

The move is part of a wider rebranding initiative and will boost the discoverability of all live arts and entertainment experiences or education programmes available at the organisation’s venues, including the Schuster Center (pictured), Victoria Theatre, PNC Arts Annex and The Loft Theatre.

The rebranding process began in May 2019 and will lead to the association being known as Dayton Live to “reflect the many activities we promote or venues we operate as an organisation”.

The new ticketing website, DaytonLive.org, allows customers to select seats with a view-from-seat functionality, make donations to any of the presenting organisations, exchange subscription seats and add seats.

Ty Sutton, the organisation’s president and chief executive, said Dayton Live “evokes the energy of live events while boldly declaring that our thriving downtown community is the region’s home for arts, culture and entertainment”.

He added: “We found our brand didn’t really reflect the many activities we promote or venues we operate as an organisation. Dayton Live is a vibrant brand under which all of our venues and community partners will be able to grow.

“Ticket buyers can search DaytonLive.org by performance name, art form, date and a list of presenting organisations that includes Dayton Ballet, Dayton Philharmonic, Dayton Opera, The Human Race Theatre Company and Muse Machine.”

The organisation also announced its 2020-21 Premier Health Broadway line-up, with shows such as Mean Girls, Jesus Christ Superstar and the Lion King scheduled at its various venues.
