VBO Tickets launches new stripped-back plugin to boost buyer experience

VBO Tickets has unveiled a new overlay plugin that looks to streamline the process of purchasing tickets, memberships, subscriptions, merchandise, and donations.

The event ticketing technology firm’s new Plugin Version 5 is the latest update to its white label embedment technology. It is more mobile-friendly and includes a new date selection slider tool.

“We’ve removed a lot of unnecessary clutter from the previous plugin versions and took a less is more approach with this update,” said David Boehme, president of VBO Tickets.

The update aims to enhance the ticket buyer’s experience with a straight-forward event selection process, from choosing or changing dates to going through a new multi-step checkout flow.

Plugin 5 allows clients to launch the ticket-buying interface in a popup overlay from anywhere on their website, which is a move designed to improve the mobile buying process. It also provides a full-screen experience without distractions or leaving the clients website.

The updated checkout process offers options to switch between payment methods including credit cards with an option to use saved cards, PayPal Checkout, or gift cards (which can be combined).

VBO Tickets Plugin 5 also now offers optional ADA compliance through a partnership with AccessiBe, which allows users to enable interface accessibility options. It now delivers a fully re-designed assigned seating module to assist larger organisations in promoting timed-release events and higher capacity venues.

The California-based company, which launched in 2012, serves clients across the performing arts, academics, sports, festivals, comedy, tourism, and attractions. Its platform has used throughout the UK, Germany, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Caribbean and Brazil.
