Green 4 to provide ticketing, CRM systems for Bodmin Jail

Green 4 Solutions has been named as the technology partner for ticketing and CRM systems at the newly revamped Bodmin Jail attraction in Cornwall, UK.

The company, which is a provider of CRM admissions, food & beverage, retail, membership and marketing solutions across sport and leisure, has provided a new online and POS admissions system for the attraction, along with its digital partner Semantic.

The Bodmin Jail attraction is set to reopen this October following a £40m redevelopment and preservation project. Visitors can now pre-book tickets online for the new £8.5m immersive ‘Dark Walk’ experience ahead of the opening.

Green 4’s solution minimises queueing and allows the venue to keep a cap on the number of guests, following the COVID-19 crisis and resulting social-distancing measures required.

The system allows guests to book online for a specific time slot, and scan their e-tickets at the automated scanners and gates to enter. Initially, all tickets must be pre-booked, however, there will also be self-service kiosks provided at a later date once the COVID-19 safety measures are allowed to be lifted.

In addition, the attraction allows customers to pre-purchase gifts from the attraction’s online shop, and the new CRM system enables Bodmin Jail to communicate with guests before and after their visit.

It also gives guests the opportunity to upgrade to a night in the new Bodmin Jail hotel, which opens later this year.

Martin Lyall, chief executive of the Bodmin Jail attraction, said: “As the reopening of the jail now accelerates towards us, we are able to establish booking and customer engagement protocols aimed at maximising the customer’s enjoyment.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Green 4 to turn Bodmin Jail into a world-class attraction and a primary destination for the South West.”
