Edgbaston launches app ahead of Vitality Blast campaign

Edgbaston Stadium is hoping its brand new dedicated app can be used by spectators inside the cricket venue at this year’s Vitality Blast Finals Day in early October.

The app, developed by Realife Tech (formerly LiveStyled), has been launched ahead of the 2020 Vitality Blast season, which begins this Friday (August 28). It features built-in mobile ticketing and an interactive venue guide and gives spectators the ability to order food and drink from their seat. It also includes a new match day live stream, with quizzes, polls and other interactive features.

While this summer’s Birmingham Bears games are currently due to be played behind closed doors, the new iOS and Android app will be ready to service fans when they return to the 25,000-capacity venue. It is hoped spectators could be present for Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston in early October, with restrictions on mass gatherings in England set to be eased at the end of September.
