Live Nation has made a number of senior leadership changes at its Asia Pacific division, with Roger Field (pictured left), who is currently chief executive of Live Nation Australia & New Zealand, named president of Live Nation Asia Pacific.
Field joined the company in 2010 to set up Live Nation Australia in partnership with Luke Hede, who is now vice president of touring. Following the acquisition of Michael Coppel Presents in 2012, Field has led the growth of the Australian and New Zealand businesses, initially as chief operating officer and then becoming chief executive in 2017.
In this new role, Field will oversee all of Live Nation’s businesses across the Asia Pacific region reporting to Live Nation Asia Pacific chairman, Alan Ridgeway. Michael Coppel will continue as chairman of the Australian division.
Meanwhile, Mark Kneebone has been appointed to the role of managing director of Live Nation New Zealand, and Kei Ikuta has been promoted to president Live Nation Japan.
Live Nation Electronic Asia has appointed Boyi Zhou (pictured centre) as chief marketing officer. Based in Shanghai, Zhou will lead the company’s marketing and partnership teams and will report to managing director Jim Wong.
Previously, Zhou co-founded Electric Jungle Music Festival, the first-ever electronic music festival in South China. He has also worked with artists including Skrillex, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Excision and Kaskade.
Jim Wong, managing director of Live Nation Electronic Asia, said: “Live Nation Electronic Asia has made great in-roads into China by introducing Creamfields to multiple cities and building dance music communities across Asia. By bringing the extremely talented Zhou on board, we will look to solidify our position in the region and work to diversify our artist touring and festival business to reach a broader audience.”
