Booking Protect broadens Festicket deal to include Ticket Arena

UK refund protection specialist Booking Protect has expanded its partnership with festival package company Festicket, to include the recently acquired Ticket Arena business.

Under the renewed agreement, the company will continue to provide refund protection for long standing partner Festicket and will now also support Ticket Arena, which was acquired by the London-based festival business in 2019.

Booking Protect, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, works with live events organisations globally to provide their customers with ticket protection.

Simon Mabb, chief executive of Booking Protect, said: “In these challenging times, it’s more important than ever to give customers the flexibility and confidence they need to book tickets in advance. We’re delighted to be able to continue to provide this service to Festicket and now Ticket Arena customers, too. Together, we’ll continue to push the boundaries of what a great ticketing experience looks like.”

Festicket allows music fans to discover and book tickets and travel packages for over 2,000 music festivals worldwide. Its two-sided marketplace brings together a network of nearly 6,000 accommodation and travel suppliers.

Matt Ephgrave, chief operating officer at Festicket, added: “Festivals and events are often the highlights of our customers’ year, so we’re determined to allow them to book these experiences with confidence and know that their booking is protected, particularly in the uncertain times we currently live in.

“We’ve seen a high adoption rate for Booking Protect over the past few years – and even more so lately – which shows our customers likewise value this offering. We’re therefore delighted to now extend this option to Ticket Arena’s customers too.”
