Icelandic arts ticketing platform Tix has signed a new partnership with one of the biggest culture institutions in the Nordics, the Gothenburg Opera in Sweden.
The 1,300-capacity venue sells more than 300,000 tickets each year for musicals, ballet and opera performances.
“The Gothenburg Opera chose Tix because it is a flexible and user-friendly system that makes it easy to sell and administrate tickets, both for customers and system users,” said Babette Svahn, head of customer and system at Gothenburg Opera.
She added: “In the middle of the current pandemic, the implementation has gone extra smooth which has given us the time to deep dive into the different work processes and system features. Now we only look forward to using the system to its full extent.”
In addition, the Opera is set to launch its own developed purchase flow. Its web agency has used Tix POS API to develop a tailor made online experience for ticket sales and customer interaction.
The deal follows a string of recent announcements from Tix, which has this month partnered with Norwegian concert hall Oslo Konserthus, Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam and its first two Belgian clients, deSingel and Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
