RB Leipzig launches new ticketing app

German Bundesliga football club RB Leipzig has launched a new ticketing app, which will be the only place fans can access tickets for matches at the Red Bull Arena.

The app will be separate from the existing ‘RBL Club’ app and will house fans’ digital tickets. RB Leipzig will no longer be offering paper tickets to matches following the launch of the app.

The app is available from the App Store and the GooglePlay Store for mobile and tablet devices. Fans will be required to use the same email address that is stored to their RBLogin account.

It will not be possible to link the ticket app with the RBLogin, with fans to instead be required to register again in the ticket app. Personal details such as name, address and telephone number will be required.

Tickets will need to be purchased via RB Leipzig’s online ticket store and not through the app, which is only used to manage the tickets and allow admission to the Red Bull Arena. Tickets will appear in the app a few minutes after they have been purchased.

The app will also allow fans to assign tickets to other people, such as family members or friends. It will feature scannable QR codes which will provide entry to the stadium.

The app also provides travel authorisation for four hours before kick-off and four hours after the game has finished.

RB Leipzig finished the 2020-21 Bundesliga season in second place to qualify for this year’s Uefa Champions League. The club lost 1-0 to Mainz in the opening match of its league campaign yesterday (Sunday).
