FC Bayern Munich supporters have been offered a helping hand when visiting the club’s home ground through the Allianz Arena’s new app.
Fans of the German Bundesliga football team, as well as visitors to the stadium in Munich, will be able to access the app to perform tasks such as booking parking tickets. Parking tickets are booked using licence plate registration, and these can be paid for through the app using a customers’ existing log in details.
The app will also provide an interactive map to guide fans around the stadium and provide information on facilities. Details change depending on whether it is match day or a non-match day, with fans able to switch between the different modes easily.
An integrated event calendar is also there to allow fans to keep up-to-date.
The club already offers a digital ticketing service, with the switch happening in time for the 2021-22 season. Digital tickets are available through the club’s online digital ticket centre, to either be downloaded onto fans’ mobiles or printed at home.
The club’s annual chip card, the Arena Card, will only be able to be recharged through the new Allianz Arena app, before it becomes obsolete at the end of this season.
At the time, FC Bayern deputy chairman Jan-Christian Dreesen said the removal of paper ticketing and the Arena Card was to conserve resources and reduce the club’s CO2 emissions, by removing plastic and paper ticketing.
