Football fans in the Middle East region can secure tickets for the first-ever FIFA-hosted pan-Arab competition from tomorrow ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 in Qatar.
The 16-nation event will take place between November 30 and December 18 across six stadiums that will also be used at next year’s FIFA World Cup 2022.
FIFA said prices reflect an affordable attempt to lure fans in, with organisers also encouraging fans to buy multiple tickets to games on the same day during the group stage, as the stadiums are so close together. Prices will range from QAR 25 (£4.94) for category 4 tickets for group matches, which are available to residents only. For category 1 tickets for the final, prices will go up to QAR 245 (£48.43).
Visa cardholders will have an exclusive opportunity to apply for tickets during the Visa Presale from August 3 at 12:00 AST, during the first section of sales phase 1 until August 17. Visa card holders can submit their applications during this period at any time with tickets allocated by a random selection draw process and customers informed if they have been successful by mid-September.
A FIFA spokesperson said in a statement: “Sales phase 1 will conclude with the period from Tuesday, September 28 to Tuesday October 12, during which tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Finally, the last-minute sales phase will start on Tuesday, November 2 and run until the end of the tournament.”
The 16 participating teams, including hosts Qatar, will compete in a group stage, progressing to knockout matches and further. There will be a total of 32 games played over 19 days.
The tournament comes exactly a year before FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, with tickets for the World Cup set to go on sale in January 2022.
