TicketSmarter signs new deal with Big Ten

TicketSmarter is set to be the official secondary ticket resale marketplace partner for the Big Ten Conference and the Big Ten Network.

During the partnership, TicketSmarter will also gain marketing and sponsorship rights for the collegiate athlete conference and the Big Ten Network. 

Chief executive of TicketSmarter, Jeff Goodman, said: “We are honoured to enter into a relationship with the Big Ten Conference to provide Big Ten fans with a seamless ticketing experience on the secondary market.

“The partnership with the Big Ten is a continuation of our efforts to develop valuable, mutually beneficial relationships with various NCAA conference and college athletics programs.” 

The Big Ten Conference has 14 member institutions and two affiliate members. The Big Ten Network is a network dedicated to covering the collegiate conference and is a partnership between the Big Ten Conference and broadcasting group Fox Networks. 

Vice president of ad sales at the Big Ten Network, Jack Brown, said: “TicketSmarter’s secondary market ticketing platform, which is both reliable and easy to navigate, is of great value to our network, conference and fans. 

“We look forward to working together and appreciate TicketSmarter’s willingness to support an array of premier Big Ten events.”

The schools take part in 18 sports across the conference including ice hockey, swimming and diving, basketball and rowing.
