Tiqets to aid San Francisco tourism in new deal

Ticketing platform Tiqets has partnered with the San Francisco Travel Association to become its digital ticketing partner.

Starting on Friday, consumers will be able to purchase tickets for attractions, museums and activities in San Francisco using Tiqets’ booking engine and tools.

Lynn Bruni-Perkins, vice-president of global marketing and communications of the San Francisco Travel Association, said: “We were very impressed with the multiple integrations and flexibility the Tiqets platform provides to help users discover our content and. Easily enter the sales funnel.

“We are also extremely pleased with Tiqets’ global reach as international markets are very important to San Francisco as a destination.”

Users will be able to log on to San Francisco’s website and, through Tiqets’ co-branded booking and marketing solution, will be able to purchase tickets to some of San Francisco’s top attractions including the Museum of Modern Art, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Daniel Hackett, regional director for Americas at Tiqets, added: “We are thrilled to partner with SF Travel, one of the industry’s leading destination marketing organisations, and to provide San Francisco leisure and business travellers with a best-in-class attractions booking experience.”

He added: “Our partnership aims to increase visibility for more attractions, drive incremental revenue for SF Travel members and help rebuild the broader San Francisco tourism community.

“Together, we look forward to connecting all travel segments, provide members with ancillary revenue opportunities and steer the destination’s ecosystems to recovery.”
