Technology provider powers World Table Tennis Championships

Harris County-Houston Sports Authority (HCHSA), host of the upcoming World Table Tennis Championships, has appointed Tickets.com as the ticket technology provider.

This will be the first time that the World Table Tennis Championship will be held in America, and is set to take place in November at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

HCHSA vice president Chris Massey said: “We are honoured to be the first city in the Americas to host the World Table Tennis Championships.

“Houston is known for producing elevated sporting events for fans, from start to finish. A good ticketing platform is essential because it serves as the first touchpoint that enhances our fan’s sporting experience.”

Massey added: “We are pleased to be working with Tickets.com to help us provide a premier experience for this historic moment in Houston.”

The HCHSA will be using the Tickets.com ticketing software including the ProVenue platform, which is a full-service integrated ticketing solution.

Tim Snyder, vice president business development for Tickets.com said: “We’re thrilled to be part of this historic moment for the World Table Tennis Championships as the official ticketing software provider.

“Our ProVenue technology will help enable HCHSA and its fans alike to enjoy a safe and secure event experience.”

Tickets are already on sale for the World Table Tennis Championship, the flagship event from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), and will run November 23-29 this year.
