London Theatre Direct pushes forward through new appointments

London Theatre Direct (LTD) has announced that Helen Enright has been appointed as its new chief executive.

Most recently, Enright was the chief financial officer for Trafalgar Entertainment. Previously, Enright has been the CFO and commercial director of Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), joining in 2000 and remaining at the company for 16 years. 

With more than 20 years of experience in the theatre industry, Enright will continue to drive LTD forward following the COVID-19 pandemic. 

LTD’s co-founders Francis Hellyer and Emmanuel Ciolfi are moving into a new joint executive chairman roles, as they hope to focus on innovation and strategy rather than the day-to-day management. 

The LTD has had a reshuffle after facing a turbulent 18 months, with key team members including Mark Prethero as the commercial director and Ryan Woods as the marketing director. Other promotions include Michelle Dunn, who has been moved up to head of ticketing and operations, while Nicky Sweetland has joined recently as the marketing manager. Amelia van Eerde is the partner sales manager and Ella Piper has recently been appointed as sales and customer service manager. 

London Theatre Group has pushed forward during the pandemic, by adding around 200 partners over the last year and half. It has also integrated e-wallet tickets with support for box office systems. The e-tickets can be displayed on mobile phones and smart watches for contactless entry to a venue. 

Developments for the future include the upcoming beta launch of a new audience insights and data analysis product, from LTD, called Auditorium.
