Regular theatre goers to be rewarded

Theatre discovery and ticketing app Stagedoor has launched a theatre Loyalty Card, allowing regular theatregoers to collect virtual stamps that add up to rewards.

The Stagedoor app works across over 100 shows meaning that theatre fans can benefit from the rewards scheme while enjoying West End shows, all the way through to tiny fringe dramas. Traditionally, loyalty schemes are subject to one venue.

Stagedoor claims the Loyalty Card is the first digital London-wide scheme of its kind and encourages people to book shows they might not have booked before.

Stagedoor lead critic Lyn Gardner said: “Being disloyal has never been so fun as it is with the Stagedoor Loyalty Card, which allows you to visit a wide range of theatres and still earn rewards. I like any card which encourages a sense of adventure and repays visiting venues off the beaten track.”

Users will be able to receive unlimited rewards from 10% discounts up to savings as high as £70 (€83/$96) off further theatre bookings. Stagedoor’s Loyalty Card is free for current and new users of the app, which just needs to be activated.

The reward is automatically applied at the checkout once users qualify for a reward. Stagedoor is also offering users £10 off their first booking.

Stagedoor founder Michael Hadjijoseph added: “Stagedoor has always been about bringing people closer to theatre, and this is another big step in that direction.

“Theatre going is a habit, one that some people have lost during the pandemic. Stagedoor’s new Loyalty Card is our answer to the question of how to bring people back to the theatre.”
