Global ticketing company Ticketmaster has appointed Jim Kotsonis as the newly created regional vice president for Ticketmaster Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Kotsonis will directly oversee operations across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.
Kotsonis has been with Ticketmaster for just over 20 years, and most recently had overall responsibility for Australia and New Zealand.
Mark Yovich, Ticketmaster’s global president, said: “Jim is a stalwart of Ticketmaster, he knows the business inside out. It is great to have him at the helm of our APAC region, where no doubt he will do a fantastic job of leading the experienced and passionate local team.”
Guest experience-focused company Connect&GO, which works with e-commerce, point of sale, ticketing, access control and payment solutions for attractions, has announced that Tara Morandi will come in as senior vice president, sales and marketing.
Morandi has over 15 years of experience in the attractions industry and will now focus on Connect&GO’s market development strategy in North America and Europe. Prior to her appointment, Morandi was vice president of marketing at Accesso for nine years, as well as serving as the director of marketing with ProSlide and as the vice president of marketing at Plus Delta Partner.
Morandi said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Connect&GO and be back in an industry that I’m passionate about. There is so much potential to help our clients simplify their operations with flexible technology solutions, and I’m excited to lead that growth.”
François- Pierre Moffet, chief operating officer, said: “Her addition to our management team demonstrates Connect&GO’s dedication and ambition to become a global leader and disrupt the conventional thinking with innovative technology solutions focused on generating revenue for our clients.
“Tara demonstrates unparalleled passion, leadership and industry knowledge that will enable us to accelerate our growth.”
Dominic Gagnon, president of Connect&GO added: “Her deep knowledge of the industry from both a supplier and customer perspective, along with her proven leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit will allow Connect&GO to accelerate its growth and increase its international presence.”
AMB Sports and Entertainment, a subsidiary of AMB Group which includes NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United FC, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and AMBSE Ventures, has promoted Latonda Henderson to vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
Henderson will be responsible for implementing DEI initiatives and overseeing the AMBSE DEI Council.
Chief executive of AMB Sports and Entertainment Steve Cannon said: “We are extremely pleased to have someone the calibre of Latonda take on this incredibly important role for AMB Sports and Entertainment and be able to hit the ground running given her understanding of our very complex organisation.
“She is an incredible asset to our organisation and is passionate about elevating the level of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our business strategies.”
Elsewhere, Katherine Tran (pictured) has joined Columbus Crew in the MLS as the senior director for premium and membership services. Previously, Tran was the director of member services for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL).
She wrote on LinkedIn: “I spent the last two years at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment and the New Jersey Devils with the most incredible Ticket Sales and Service Team.”
She added: “I’m very excited to start my new journey back in Major League Soccer with the Columbus Crew as the senior director, premium and membership services.”
David Norman has been brought in as the production manager and tour accountant for American artist Tyler, the Creator.
He said on LinkedIn: “Must share with everyone how happy I am to be working for Tyler, the Creator as production manager/tour accountant. I’ve been onboard for several months now, but man, what an amazing team helmed by the 4 Strikes management team, Tyler (a true visionary who reminds me a lot of one of my previous bosses, The Purple One), Kevin Shivers at WME and AEG.”
Premiership Rugby has appointed Simon Massie-Taylor (pictured) as its new chief executive. He was previously the chief commercial and marketing officer for England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU).
While in his role with the RFU, Massie-Taylor was responsible for revenue generating and marketing activities such as broadcasting, brand partnerships, fan engagement and digital and data transformation projects.
