See Tickets acquires LiveBuzz

Independent ticketing company See Tickets has acquired LiveBuzz, a provider of services to the UK exhibition sector.

See Tickets, which is owned by French global media company Vivendi, believes the acquisition will compliment its existing activities.

The transaction is immediately accretive to earnings.

Global chief executive at See Tickets Rob Wilmshurt said: “We are delighted to have completed this transaction and warmly welcome the LiveBuzz team to the See Tickets family.

“We firmly believe there is huge potential in this acquisition, and the efficient combination of both existing operations will provide a powerful operating framework that will be unrivalled and will greatly benefit all stakeholders in the exhibition space in the UK and progressively in the other countries where See Tickets operates.”

The See Tickets board plans to invest in teams and technologies to further expand within the exhibition sector.

Emma Eveleigh, founder and joint managing director of LiveBuzz, added: “I am hugely encouraged that See Tickets have acquired the business and will invest towards our next phase of growth.

“I am truly delighted to continue to lead LiveBuzz and combine our respective areas of expertise for the good of the industry. The evolutionary thinking and proven capability of LiveBuzz, is being aligned with an industry titan. Here we go – rock and roll – what’s not to be excited about?”

See Tickets this month also announced it had partnered with Dutch conference and festival Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), and will handle all ticketing services.

ESNS is a non-profit showcase festival and music conference that is open to performances from European artists only. It takes place in Groningen and organisers also offer services such as hotel arrangements, merchandise and cashless payment options.

The first three days of the festival is Eurosonic and features artists from all over Europe, while the final day is called Noorderslag and features only Dutch artists.
