Major US motorsport race Daytona 500 has established mobile-centric ticketing platform SeatGeek as its preferred ticket exchange partner.
The iconic Daytona 500 is due to take place February 20 at Daytona International Speedway with hundreds of thousands of NASCAR and motorsport fans descending on the race track for petrol-fuelled action.
Motorsport fans will be able to use SeatGeek’s platform to buy and sell Daytona tickets, with the partnership also providing benefits to Daytona International Speedway including analytics, ticket exchange data and sales trends.
Frank Kelleher, president of Daytona International Speedway, said: “We chose SeatGeek as the preferred ticket exchange of the Daytona 500 because of their ability to give our fans a seamless, mobile-first product experience when looking to buy or sell tickets.
“SeatGeek’s analytics and consulting services also helps us marry our sales data with theirs to better understand the overall demand for tickets leading up to and on race day.”

SeatGeek’s ticket exchange platform is utilised by a number of other sports franchises in the US including the National Football League (NFL)’s Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. National Basketball Association (NBA)’s Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans also partner with SeatGeek.
