Portsmouth Guildhall opts for Eventim UK partnership

Portsmouth Guildhall has partnered with Eventim UK, which is set to become the venue’s new ticketing partner from the summer.

Eventim UK was selected following a tender and evaluation process and the partnership will span the next seven years. Portsmouth Guildhall, which has a capacity of 2,000 and is based in the English city of Portsmouth, will utilise the events and ticketing company’s software and integrated marketing solution, Eventim.Inhouse.

Andy Gray, chief executive of The Guildhall Trust, which is responsible for the management of Portsmouth Guildhall, said: “We are delighted to have reached this momentous partnership with Eventim, and we look forward to working with their team to develop an insightful and comprehensive approach to ticketing and marketing support that improves efficiency across the Guildhall and delivers a first-rate experience for our customers.

“As one of the busiest concert venues in the UK, trusted by all major promoters, we are constantly seeking to improve our process, reach and service to our audiences.”

The transition across to the Eventim.Inhouse system is set to take place this summer.

Martin Fitzgerald and John Gibson, managing directors of Eventim UK, said: “We’re extremely honoured that our technology and people were seen as such a winning combination by such an iconic venue.

“We’re now looking forward to working with Andy and his team, delivering on their expectations and providing a market leading solution to the Guildhall, their customers and promoters alike.”

Portsmouth Guildhall will welcome acts like Paul Weller and The Vaccines, comedians Ed Gamble and Katherine Ryan, and will host events such as Portsmouth Comic Con over the coming months.
