Capital One adds ticketing rewards feature

US bank holding company Capital One is adding a new feature for its cardholders, which will offer tickets to experiences across sports, music and more.

Capital One Entertainment is a new ticketing platform for US cardholders that will allow them to redeem rewards for tickets, which cover more than 500,000 events and experiences.

The new ticketing rewards scheme is powered by online ticket marketplace, Vivid Seats. Capital One cardholders can browse and purchase tickets for events using rewards or payment card, or a mixture of both.

Music fans can secure tickets for events such as the iHeartRadio Music Festival, iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, iHeartCountry Festival and iHeartRadio ALTerEgo.

Sports fans will also have the opportunity to grab tickets for live events such as the Capital One Orange Bowl, an annual American college football bowl game, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Final Four and Women’s Final Four and the College Football National Championship Game.

The platform also offers rewards cardholders exclusive access to premium packages and onsite perks at these events, including VIP seats, access passes for special events, merchandise and gifts.

Capital One cardholders will also be able to redeem rewards for tickets to special experiences, including stadium tours, meet-and-greets and mid-court seats. For country music fans, rewards can be redeemed for tickets to iHeartCountry Music Festival with an exclusive backstage experience with artist Thomas Rhett and front row seats.

Venture X cardholders will have exclusive access to events coming up in April with additional experiences.

Monica Weaver, head of branded card partnerships and experiences at Capital One, said: “Now more than ever, our customers are craving special experiences with loved ones. At Capital One, we want to make it even easier for them to do so with a digital-first ticketing platform that unlocks exclusive access to unforgettable events throughout the year.”
