People on the Move: CTS Eventim, Accesso & more…

Jan Voss has been appointed as the new managing director at Eventim Brand Connect.

Voss (pictured right) will take up his new role, leading CTS Eventim’s brand partnerships and sponsoring business, from next month and will report to the managing director of Eventim Live, Dr Frithjof Pils.

Voss joins the company from Universal Music Group (UMG) Germany, where he was responsible for partnerships and licensing as vice president of UMG For Brands. Previous roles include director of marketing and head of new business at the same company.

Voss said: “Live entertainment offers brands one of the most powerfully emotive ways to interact with people. There are numerous new opportunities here for brands, particularly as the live events sector starts to open up again. Taking Eventim Brand Connect forward in such an exciting environment with the power of Europe’s biggest live entertainment platforms and an excellent team will be a fantastic challenge.”

AMB Sports and Entertainment has announced the elevation of Tarena Smith to vice president, major events for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Smith (pictured left), a veteran in the event industry will oversee all major events adding oversight to events in The Home Depot Backyard, the 11-acre greenspace adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Smith began her career at AMB in 2017 as director of major events where she has overseen the coordination of all the stadium’s annual major events including the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons games and concerts.

Stephanie Cloud has become vice president of strategic partnerships at Accesso Technology Group.

Cloud, formerly director of partner marketing & distribution partnerships at MGM Resorts International, said: “I am looking forward to working with such an innovative group of people in the space and helping build and develop Accesso’s partner ecosystem.”

Messina Touring Group’s Rachel Powers has been elevated to vice president from director of marketing. Powers will take on added responsibility in her new role as she spearheads tour marketing and promotion for acts such as Eric Church.

“Rachel has been an incredible leader within our company and deserves this promotion,” said Louis Messina, the group’s CEO. “Her marketing expertise is key to the success of our tours, and she adds immense value to both the artists she works with and our internal team at MTG daily.”

Lucie Tongelová has become head of marketing at Czech Republic-based Boom Ticketing & Events.

Tongelová’s role at the start-up, which develops technological solutions to simplify event organisation, includes building brand awareness and managing the company’s external communications.
