Glamorgan Cricket appoints CM.com as exclusive ticketing partner

Netherlands-based cloud software company CM.com has agreed a deal to become the exclusive ticketing partner of Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

Ahead of the 2023 cricket season, Glamorgan has committed to delivering an enhanced customer experience for its fan base and has selected CM.com to implement a new ticketing approach.

The company’s integrated marketing and customer service platforms will be used by Glamorgan as part of the multi-year deal, which will see the club replace its existing ticketing solution with the CM.com platform.

The deal covers all domestic competitions, international matches and women’s cricket matches hosted at Sophia Gardens.

CM.com’s ticketing platform is mobile-first and combines smart audience analytics with in-event mobile order capabilities. The company aims to set a “new precedent” for what a ticketing platform can offer by streamlining every aspect of event organisation.

James Matthews, UK and Ireland country manager at CM.com, said: “We’re very excited to welcome Glamorgan and support their ambitions to enhance their customer experience. Through our combined vision and expertise, we can deliver a superior fan experience. Glamorgan is a club that embraces technology as we’ve seen from the beginning of our journey together and I am very excited to see this relationship grow.”

Huw Warren, head of commercial at Glamorgan, added: “As planning for the 2023 season began, we knew that we needed to take a fresh approach to ticketing in order to provide our supporters with an agile, fast and smooth customer experience.

“We were impressed by CM.com’s hands-on approach to identifying the best solution for Glamorgan, as well as the strength and agility of its ticketing platform and ease of use for employees and fans. We’re excited to see how the improvements will be received.”

CM.com holds major partnerships with Formula 1’s Dutch Grand Prix and the Invictus Games. In recent months, the company has made a series of acquisitions in the events and ticketing space, including Appmiral, YourTicketProvider and TraceDock.
