TeamLab Borderless, the world’s first digital art museum (pictured) that opened four years ago, is set to close its Odaiba venue in the summer so that it can relocate to central Tokyo next year.
TeamLab is an immersive museum with futuristic digital art installations, focusing on lights and colours.
Tickets for the final opening days of TeamLab Borderless in Odaiba, an artificial island in Tokyo, will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday) from 12pm JST.
Patrons will be able to book a visit for days between July 1 and August 31 this year – which will be the last day of opening.
The art collective is set to open new exhibitions over the coming months, including a TeamLab Botanical Garden in Osaka, and a ‘TeamLab: A Forest Where Gods Live’ exhibition which will be held at Mifuneyama Rakuen in Saga Prefecture from July through to early November.
General admission tickets for the original venue will cost ¥3,200 (£19.70/$23.80/€22.80) while junior high school students or younger can enter for ¥1,000.
