Sydney WorldPride partners with Moshtix

Live Nation-owned Moshtix has partnered with Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The deal means that Moshtix will be the official ticketing provider for the first ever WorldPride to take place in the southern hemisphere.

Sydney WorldPride will incorporate Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras events alongside a festival offering a programme of arts, sports, theatre, concerts, parties, First Nations programming and a human rights conference.

Moshtix will work alongside fellow Live Nation-owned ticketing company Ticketmaster Australia to expand awareness and drive international visitors to celebrate in Sydney in 2023.

Organisers will be able to utilise self-service tools from Moshtix, while also being able to benefit from Moshtix Open API and Moshtix Insights to keep track of data and marketing efforts through customised reporting dashboards.

Gabriel Pinkstone, chief operating officer of Sydney WorldPride 2023, said: “Sydney WorldPride has over 20 major events, which range from concerts and dance parties to a human rights conference and everything in between.

“Finding a home for our ticketing required technology that could span greenfield sites to theatres and had to come from an organisation with a proven track record of standing with the LGBQTIA+ community. Moshtix and Ticketmaster convinced us that not only could they do the job but they would put our community at the centre of the process.”

Moshtix managing director Harley Evans added: “It is an honour to be a part of such a historic event that will be a defining moment for not just the LGBTQIA+ community but also for Sydney as a city on the global stage. The team at Moshtix and Ticketmaster are set to provide world-class ticketing and marketing strategies to reach, engage and excite customers across the globe.”

Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2023 will take place between Friday, February 17 and Sunday, March 5 on the lands of the Gadigal, Cammeraygal, Bidjigal, Darug and Dharawal people who are the Traditional Custodians of the Sydney Basin.

Tickets for all events will go on sale on July 15.
