‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’
AmazeVR, a virtual reality (VR) concert platform, has announced there will be a second leg of the virtual reality concert tour from rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
The ‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’ tour sold out at every venue in the first leg of the tour according to AmazeVR. The tour will begin in August in Los Angeles, with additional stops at Austin, Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC.
The tour stops are held at selected AMC Theatres and fans are given VR headsets nicknamed ‘Hottie Mounted Displays’. The concerts last 30 minutes with Megan performing surrounded by back-up dancers and an animated CGI stage.
Live-streaming Lizzo
Singer Lizzo celebrated the release of her ‘Special’ album last week with an intimate performance and a livestream from the ‘Lizzoverse’ – which was hosted at New York’s Cipriani 25.
Attendees were treated to performances of all 12 tracks from her new album, which was also streamed via Amazon Music’s Twitch channel.
Lizzo will begin her arena tour at the end of September.
AR Digital Collectibles
US cinema operator Regal, which is a subsidiary of the Cineworld Group, has extended its AR-only digital collectibles program with augmented reality (AR) platform, Moviebill. Fans receive a ‘Real Collectible Ticket’ as a memento of their movie-going experience.
All Regal Crown Club members and attendees that purchase tickets through the Regal app will be sent a link to claim their digital collectible. After unboxing, users can access exclusive content only available through the collectible experience.
Regal’s ‘Real Collectible Tickets’ will be available for major movie releases.
Frameless
A new digital immersive arts experience will open in London in October, named Frameless. Tickets are now available for the immersive art attraction, which will incorporate multiple galleries focused on the works of Cezanne, Kadinsky, Monet, Canaletto, Rembrandt and Klimt.
Four galleries will make up the multi-sensory experience including ‘Beyond Reality’, ‘Colour in Motion’, ‘The World Around Us’ and ‘The Art of Abstraction’.
