New Orleans Saints renew SeatGeek partnership

Ticketing platform SeatGeek has renewed its partnership with the National Football League (NFL)’s New Orleans Saints.

It was announced today (Tuesday) that Saints fans will continue to use the SeatGeek app to purchase and manage tickets, as well as scan directly into the stadium. The organisation’s back office will also benefit from SeatGeek’s backend client-facing technology, Unify. The technology allows teams, theatres and arenas to create, sell and manage access to their live entertainment ecosystem.

During SeatGeek’s development of Unify, the Saints helped to test and improve the platform. The NFL franchise will have access to centralised reports that use data from all open-distribution sales channels and query builders to power marketing and revenue optimisation.

SeatGeek signed up the Saints as its first NFL primary ticketing partner in 2017. With the news of the Saints renewal, SeatGeek has said that over the last 18 months, it has secured a 97% renewal rate.

Saints fans will also be able to utilise features in the SeatGeek app like Rally, an event-day technology that gives fans a personalised experience directly in their digital tickets.

Michael Stanfield, the Saints’ senior vice-president of sales, said: “Five years ago, we realised we needed a primary ticketing partner who could grow with us and our Saints community, and signed on as the first NFL team to partner with SeatGeek.

“We knew from the beginning that their innovative approach to ticketing would provide our passionate fan base with the best-in-class experience they expect and our staff with the most advanced backend technology needed to elevate our ticketing operations. Over the years, the team at SeatGeek has shown us that they’re committed to enriching every aspect of the fan journey, and we look forward to a successful future ahead.”

Danielle du Toit, president of SeatGeek’s enterprise business, added: “The Saints have been a tremendous partner of ours throughout the years as we’ve both been keenly focused on creating the ultimate game day experience for fans.

“An ideal SeatGeek partner matches our ambition to elevate the customer journey through a forward-thinking mentality and our drive to deliver excellence across the ticketing experience through innovative box office technology. And that’s the Saints.”

The renewal comes a month after United Soccer League (USL) side New Mexico United signed up SeatGeek as its ticketing partner.
