Attraction World Group (AWG), a platform where customers can pre-book experiences and attractions, has revealed its new GBTix brand.
The new direct-sell operation will aim to continue the success of its US counterpart, direct-to-consumer brand FloridaTix.
As reported by TTG Media, AWG said: “We are using our expertise to replicate this within the UK space.”
A Beta version of the site is set to launch in time for Black Friday (on November 25) and will sell tickets for British theme parks, activities, attractions and landmarks.
Attraction World Group chief executive Olly Nicholls said that the company would look into adding cinema ticketing, dining, experience days, petting zoos and local activities in the coming months.
Nicholls said: “We are very excited to be launching a dedicated UK site. This is another example of how strong our brand has become.
“We have a ready-made database of clients who are brand loyal with an appetite to explore Great Britain. Along with a dedicated UK contracting team, the UK is set to become our most successful destination outside of Florida.”
AWG will aim to scale the brand in time for the Easter holidays next year, and noted its plans for acquisitions across the UK ticketing market as a way to do this.
