The Kia Oval has witnessed record ticket sales for international cricket matches in 2023, following unprecedented ballot entries.
Over 63,000 tickets have already been sold to Surrey County Cricket Club members, with an enticing schedule of Men’s and Women’s Ashes fixtures and a Men’s ODI against New Zealand next summer.
Days two and three of the Men’s Test Match are almost sold out and 20,000 more tickets have been sold this year compared to the same point ahead of the 2019 Ashes, according to Surrey.
Until recently, tickets had only been available to Surrey members who have priority access, with successful ticket ballot entrants being contacted this week.
Surrey Cricket said that there is still good availability for days four and five of the Men’s Test Match, however, it is expected that these tickets will go quickly as the ticket ballot for international tickets in 2023 received over 1.1 million requests from 119,000 entrants.
Thousands of tickets for the Women’s Ashes IT20 have also been sold, with the Women’s England team set to play at The Kia Oval for the first time since 2009.
Any remaining tickets will go on general sale from Monday, January 16.
