People on the move: Kilimanjaro Live, ABBA Voyage and more…

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Neil Jones (pictured left) has started a new position as venue manager at Kilimanjaro Live. 

Jones previously spent four years as head of ticketing at London’s Royal Opera House between 2018 and 2022.

Elsewhere, Richard Howle has started a new position as consumer revenue director at virtual concert residency ABBA Voyage. 

Howle has taken on the new role after spending five years at The Ticket Factory, the NEC Group’s ticketing arm, as director of ticketing. 

He wrote on LinkedIn: “Over the past five years, I have learned loads and worked with great colleagues and clients, but now it is time for a new challenge.”

In the run up to Christmas, David Bryan was appointed the chair of Arts Council England’s London Area Council. 

Bryan is also the chair of Off-West End theatre Brixton House, Battersea Arts Centre and arts organisation Creative Lives (UK). In his new role, Bryan will be responsible for leading the arts council’s work in London, and continue to rebuild following the pandemic. 

He was appointed by London Mayor Sadiq Khan. 

Lauren Clancy is set to leave the Bush Theatre in May after nine years at the organisation, most recently as the executive director. 

Clancy originally joined the Bush Theatre as head of marketing before becoming the executive director in 2017. She worked alongside former artistic director Madani Younis until 2018, before Lynette Linton joined the organisation and took on the role. 

During her tenure, she has overseen the venue’s refurbishment which included the addition of a new studio space and has also been executive producer on several productions. 

Elswhere, Brogan Gaymer has been promoted to senior marketing executive at LW Theatres, after spending a year as a marketing executive. 

Jessica Lee (pictured right) has been made the director of ticket operations for Major League Baseball (MLB) team Atlanta Braves and Truist Park. Lee was previously the senior manager of ticket and financial operations, and manager of ticket and financial operations for the franchise. 

Lee also previously spent just under four years with the Houston Astros as representative, ticket operations and coordinator, ticket operations.  

Ben Sharman has been promoted to head of venue programming at Utilita Arena Birmingham, Resorts World Arena and Bradford Live at the NEC Group.
