Somerset County Cricket Club has sold over 3,000 tickets for an upcoming Women’s Ashes ODI at the Cooper Associates County Ground (pictured).
The Women’s Ashes ODI between England and Australia is set to take place on Tuesday, July 18 with the ground already over 50% capacity.
Unlike the Men’s Ashes, the Women’s edition is multi-format, with points garnered from Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODI) and International Twenty-20 fixtures (IT20).
Adult tickets are still available at the early-bird price of £10 (€11/$12), while junior tickets will cost just £5.
Ticket prices are set to increase in March.
Surrey County Cricket Club also witnessed an influx of sales for the Women’s Ashes IT20, with the Women’s England team playing at the Kia Oval for the first time since 2009.
England Women will take on Australia Women at Lord’s, the Kia Oval, Edgbaston, Southampton’s Ageas Bowl, Trent Bridge, Bristol’s Seat Unique Stadium, as well the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton, Somerset.
