Ticketmaster and marketing agency CSM Sport & Entertainment will once again work together across ticket sales for the return of Major League Baseball (MLB) to London, later this year.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs are set to play in a two-game series, with the teams featuring at the 66,000-capacity London Stadium on June 24-25.
Further regular season games are also scheduled between 2024 and 2026 as part of a long-term strategic partnership between MLB and the English capital.
CSM Sport & Entertainment and Ticketmaster will also work in partnership to sell and distribute tickets for the 2024 and 2026 series. The pair originally partnered in 2019 to accommodate sales for a series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
Andrew Owen, managing director of major events at CSM, said: “We are pleased to be partnering again with Ticketmaster, the global leader in their field to deliver our ticketing operations for the 2023, 2024 and 2026 London Series.
“In 2023, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs will play out their fierce rivalry at the transformed London Stadium and we are excited to deliver an authentic and memorable ballpark experience for fans across the UK, Europe and beyond.”
Andrew Parsons, managing director of Ticketmaster UK, added: “Our partnership with CSM Sport & Entertainment is one we value highly, and we look forward to delivering the best experience to fans in London.
“That exhilarating feeling of attending a live sports game is unrivalled, and with fan demand only continuing to grow we can’t wait for what the next few years of this partnership bring.”
The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs had been due to play each other at London Stadium in 2020, but the series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
