We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

CTS Eventim has promoted Karsten Elbrecht (pictured) to chief commercial officer, ticketing, in Germany. Elbrecht, who has extensive experience within the ticketing industry including over decade with Eventim, will collaborate with German promoters and aim to expand the German ticketing business.

Tasks will include establishing efficient internal structures and sharpening the customer focus in one of the live entertainment and ticketing company’s core markets. Elbrecht will also play a key part in CTS Eventim’s continued growth.

Elsewhere, Paul Winteridge from entertainment agency Vern Allen Group has been appointed president of The Entertainment Agents’ Association in the UK. He will take over the role from Bob James, who is stepping down after two years.

Winteridge has worked in the entertainment industry for almost 40 years, spending half as a performer and the other as an agent. In 2009, he became the managing director of Exeter-based Vern Allen Group.

Tony Hodgins has been made the general manager of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Hodgins was previously a 30-year executive at Freeman, which works in exhibitions, exhibits and events.

“I look forward to working closely with our clients, regional partners and the Authority to support the hospitality community and provide customised solutions that are the hallmark of ASM Global,” said Hodgins.

“I’m excited to work with our convention centre leadership team to leverage ASM Global’s industry-leading innovations to deliver exceptional experiences for organisers, attendees and exhibitors.”

UK-headquartered Primary Talent International has hired New York-based Peter Nash as a partner. He is the eighth partner to join Primary Talent since it regained independence from Creative Artist Agency (CAA) earlier this year.

Nash joined ICM from WME in 2020, the year in which ICM acquired Primary Talent, which was then acquired by CAA. He has a number of artists and bands in his roster including Kings of Leon, Pet Shop Boys and more.
