Crystal Palace experienced difficulties with its turnstiles on Saturday, leading to its Premier League match against West Ham United being delayed by 15 minutes.

The ticketing issues at Selhurst Park saw long queues with less than 15 minutes to go before the scheduled kick off of 12:30 BST. There was an issue with season ticket cards and the turnstiles, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

At the time, Palace said on Twitter: “We’re aware of issues with regard to turnstiles upon entering the stadium, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working hard to rectify the situation.”

The match eventually got underway at 12:45 BST, with fans still finding their seats at the 25,486-capacity stadium.

The club later added: “We would like to sincerely apologise to supporters who were affected by our turnstile failure earlier today, which led to the delay to kick-off. A full investigation is underway.”

Crystal Palace went on to beat West Ham 4-3.
