Goiás launches Sou Amor plan for fans with ASD/ADHD

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Goiás Esporte Clube has introduced a new membership catered towards fans with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 

Fans will have access to an exclusive box at the club’s Hailé Pinheiro Stadium to follow games.

The box is set within a sensory room to offer comfort and safety for fans and companions to be able to watch matches. The space will also feature toys, a television and video games, and is a more quiet space to allow attendees to truly enjoy the game without becoming overwhelmed.

Goiás executive president Paulo Rogério Pinheiro said: “The inauguration of the box represents another action of Goiás aiming at the inclusion and comfort of our fans.

“We are happy to provide a more pleasant and safe experience for people with autism and ADHD at the Hailé Pinheiro Stadium. We will always seek the necessary adaptations for the comfort and safety of our fans.”

The Sou Amor plan and access to the box will be free, with the club requiring documents from fans in order to register. Members will receive a check-in for Goiás home games, with one for the child and one for their companion. The ticket will be sent to their email and will be non-transferable.
